Senju Plastic Wrench for Sprinkler Heads

The development of our plastic wrench started because AHJ from some areas in the United States has required homeowners to have a spare sprinkler head wrench in case of an emergency. However, the current price of metal wrenches in the market are too expensive, and therefore having a plastic one handy allows the homeowners to comply with local code/rules while at the same time maintaining affordability. Although the plastic wrench is not recommended for regular installation work, it is very convenient to store it in a cabinet for emergency use.

  • Material: Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), which is known for its strength, durability, and stable characteristics. PBT is widely used for manufacturing escutcheons in Japan.
  • Shelf life: If the plastic wrench is stored in a shaded place, the shelf life would be long.
  • Strength: These plastic wrenches were tested by installation under 40Nm of torque about 2 -3 times, but no change is detected. It looked as if it was brand new even after rigorous testing.
  • Our recommendation noted on our data sheet is 7 to 14 ft.lbs (9.5 to 19.0Nm torque (Page 5) on http://www.senjusprinkler.com/wp/wp-content/themes/mystile/pdf/Datasheet/RC-RES(SS8461)_4.9K_DATASHEET.pdf
